Program Description: Kirtan, Sanskrit & Chanting with Gaiea, Dynamic & Restorative Yoga with Vivi, Ayurvedic Therapy with Elena
Chanting & Sanskrit with Gaiea
In Sanskrit chanting the nuance of sound and pronunciation is touched upon and we explore how powerful it is to use various parts of body in connecting with sound vibrations that have been around long before we came along and that will continue to exist long after we are gone.
In Kirtan there is the space to let your sound come through, whatever that may be, follow your heart and release what needs to be released.
In Satsang there is the opportunity for discourse on the great teachings found in ancient Sanskrit texts and also to share what is arising for you in your daily practice. The power of a group gives strength to the practices and supports you in the pursuit of your goal.
In yoga and physical movement we connect to the vehicle that carries us through and thereby become grounded and steady.
These four things, Sanskrit chanting, Kirtan, Satsanga and yoga will form the cornerstones of the retreat.
Abhaya Yoga with Vivi
Abhaya Yoga is created by Vivi Letsou and inspired by the mudra that signifies Abhaya–NO FEAR.
Abhaya Yoga classes combine movement and flow, vinyasa style, with a strong and therapeutic alignment. We are inspired by the Tantric Philosophy that sees the intrinsic goodness in all, and use positive uplifting themes in tandem with asana ques. Every class is a journey of empowerment for body and spirit. Classes end with meditation and a positive affirmation.
What happens in an Abhaya Yoga Class?
We move with precise principles of alignment, strong energy, and awareness through a dynamic sequence of asanas, following our breath, and our inner intention—Iccha!
Inwardly this alignment of body, breath, and concentration feels therapeutic: all layers of our existence get harmonized.
We feel strong and healthy, more balanced.
Outwardly we witness the miracle of transformation.
When you are ready for POSITIVE CHANGE, your life will CHANGE POSITIVELY!

Short Biography of the Teacher(s)
It is a strange occupation to write a biography when all that is past is gone and all that is to come is unknown and yet it is helpful to read about the moments that led up to this one in which you read this now.
Gaiea attended St James School in London where she learned Sanskrit from the age of 4, and went on to read Sanskrit at University of Oxford. She has taught Sanskrit for Yoga London, The Ayurveda Institute, Jivamukti Yoga and East London School of Yoga. Her life is dedicated to further exploring the depth and power of the sounds of Sanskrit. She has combined a love of Sanskrit with exploration of the voice knowing that through connecting with your voice and expression there is a key to connect more deeply with yourself. Gaiea visits India yearly for a month to study with voice and Sanskrit teachers. She performs, writes and records songs, leads regular Kirtan (chanting) and Sanskrit, Philosophy & Meditation workshops in London, and is also a teacher of the Alexander Technique (psycho-somatic work which explores the innate connection between mind and body, heal one, heal both, and heightened awareness of the way you move).
